Four basic steps for good skin

With all the trendy multi-step routines, skincare can be intimidating. However, you only need four basic steps to begin until you can figure out what your skin needs!

First, find a cleanser. A low pH cleanser like our Low pH Rose Gel Cleanser (P675 / P375) is a great first step to forming your skincare routine. This helps wash off any dirt or excess sebum when you begin and end your day. Washing with a cleanser that has a pH level below 7 helps to maintain your skin’s moisture barrier so your skin stays clean and supple.

Second, apply a moisturizer. You can customize your moisturizer depending on the weather and your skin type. For the Philippines’ humid weather, a gel-type moisturizer like our Rose Gel Serum Moisturizer (P895) absorbs easily with its lightweight texture. This not only hydrates, but has the added benefit of brightening your skin tone too!

Then, look for a sunscreen. This is the ultimate anti-aging skincare product as it helps prevent wrinkles, and protects your skin from the sun’s harmful rays. Find a sunscreen that has an SPF of 50 or higher for daily wear.

Finally, get an exfoliant. This helps to get rid of any deep-seated dirt and help your skin shed any flakiness faster to reveal younger, even-toned skin. A chemical and physical exfoliant like our Petal Skin Rose Clay Mask (P875) is gentle enough for all skin types as it uses French green clay, the gentlest of all clay masks, to remove dirt from deep within. It also has glycolic acid, a form of AHA, for an instant brightening effect.
